While we continue to have great discussions with the Town, we were/are hoping to have at least the outdoor market up and running by this weekend, so that our vendors can take advantage of the holiday weekend, as well as the nearby Bryce Fest. We will know tomorrow if this will happen or not. Most likely it will have to wait until after the Planning Commission Meeting and Town Council Meeting on July 11 and 12, respectively. Which means that the outdoor market date may have to wait until July 16.
In the meantime, we continue to seek out the BEST products the Valley has to offer. Do you know of any? Do you have any local favorites? We want to make them available to you. Let us know. Keep telling friends and family. Find us on Facebook. (We're at 91 "likes" as I type this post. Hmmm... I should offer something to the 100th person... perhaps a day of helping us swing a hammer. For the 1000th person, we will crack open a bottle of champagne together when you come into the store.)
We plan to offer a scaled-back version (700 square feet) of the full market as soon as possible, with a single cashier. This smaller market will have all the necessary items, such as locally-grown produce, grass fed meat, local honey, a few local wines, maybe even a few nifty local artisan pieces.
We continue to develop plans for sprucing up the place. Think rustic barn board...should go nicely with the heavy timber structure already in place.
Thank you for your continued support. We have only been at this for just over three weeks now, and daily continue to meet new and wonderful folks who will help make this a truly great experience, right here in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.
