Music At the Market

We have reached out to a number of musicians about performing at the Market on Saturdays, and are getting some great responses. Be sure to watch the market calendar, or like us on Facebook and/or Twitter, to keep up with the latest. And, plan on coming by the Market between 11 AM and 1 PM for great local talent! Music, lunch and good company - what more could you ask for?!

Do you play, have a group or know someone who does? Contact us or pass the word. We still have availability for you or your group to get some exposure. If you have a CD, you can sell it at the market, and we will be happy to sell it at the Market Store as soon as we're open (so bring a few to sell). We are not paying for talent right now, but we will be promoting all our music on our website, Facebook page, Twitter and to the press. The Mount Jackson Farmers' Market will be a great place to get exposure or just have fun.

We especially like acoustic, bluegrass and NewGrass!

New Season Starts with a Bang!

Saturday was a wonderful first day for the Market. The weather was perfect, and we had over 100 customers!

Today, (Wednesday) the much-needed rain seems to be scaring off customers. But our vendors are here and eager.

Lettuces are in, and lots of seedlings: tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and dill to name a few.

We have some of the BIGGEST free range eggs you've ever seen!

If you're looking for produce, it's a bit early yet. We do have a bunch of other wonderful stuff though. See some of it below!

Gearing up for a Great Season!

The outdoor market kicks off this Saturday. It's been a mild winter, but so long since last year's market. We miss YOU!

We plan to have a great season this year, adding everything from grass fed beef and forest-raised pork, bedding plants and heirloom tomatoes and peppers, to donuts and a hot food truck! Lots of farm fresh eggs will be on hand as well (the yolks are as yellow as a school bus!)

Worried about prices? The prices at the Market are competitive with the Big Boxes - we just don't have the millions of dollars to advertise it. So, no snazzy Superbowl commercials for us. Just good quality, locally grown food! We'll be offering specials throughout the season too. Besides quality, the food at the Market is being picked at the peak of freshness beats anything those other places can offer.

We hope you'll put us on your schedule for the week's groceries. Remember, Buy Fresh, Buy Local. You'll be supporting your neighbors instead of someone in some far off country, and the quality of food is far better!
